The Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) has appealed to the new Karnataka Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, to give more attention to small scale industries. In a press release, Prakash N. Raikar, President, KASSIA, said: “We congratulate Mr Gowda on his taking over as the Chief Minister. KASSIA also expresses hope that the new chief minister will choose an exclusive and dedicated SSI Minister, since SSI is the second largest sector after agriculture. We also request the Chief Minister to identify a person well acquainted with the concerns and issues hampering the cause of the SME sector.”
