SMEs and MSMEs must utilise the cushion for meticulous understanding of GST compliances and capacity building
New Delhi, October 09, 2017: Commenting on the GST Council’s decision, announced today, Ashish Mittal, Co founder, EasemyGST, said, “22 meetings within 100 days of GST rollout reflect that government is conscious of problems faced by the traders and have reviewed it almost every fortnight. A number of times, flexibility and adjustments were shown to address the concerns of enterprises. This shows government’s strong resolve for one nation one tax mission.”
“EasemyGST welcomes the decision of the GST council and appreciates the Government’s move. This will surely reduce the complexity of compliance, and also, allow more time to adjust to changes”, said Mittal.
However, Mittal cautioned SMEs and MSMEs to utilise the time that they had got for meticulous understanding of GST and capacity building. “While the actual GST submission may take on quarterly basis but the exercise for compliance will continue on sustained basis round the year, so that the last minute mistakes, technology glitches, slow speed of net, failure due to non-understanding, etc could be completely ruled out, creating a seamless business ecosystem,” Mittal added.
