8 out 10 women feel that looking ‘fit’ means being healthy, reveals Tetley Green Tea Immune’s latest survey

New Delhi, May 29, 2022: Numerous studies have shown that world over pandemic has impacted physical as well as mental health, for women. With an aim to understand women’s awareness of their own health and the small steps they are taking to ensure their holistic well-being, Tetley Green Tea Immune recently revealed interesting findings on the topic of ‘Health and Fitness’ through their recent survey. The extensive survey[1] conducted among 1500 women across age categories in 6 key cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad) gives key insights on the need to raise awareness on holistic well-being that is not just restricted to looking fit on the outside. The survey shares some of the below key findings bringing out key consumer trends:

  1. Data indicates a strong discord in women’s understanding of health and fitness

When it comes to their understanding of holistic health, the survey reveals the below key insights:

●       8 out of 10 women feel that looking ‘fit’ means being healthy

●       Two third of respondents measure ‘fitness’ by the below:

✔        Feeling more active and energetic

✔        Looking Fit

✔        Relaxed and better mood

●       Over two-third of women when probed specifically on ‘what good health to meant to them’ said that it’s about:

✔        Feeling more active and energetic

✔        Better Internal health

✔        And physical and mental wellbeing 

2. More women are beginning to understand the importance of fitness regimen and nutritional choices 

Over 90% of women understand the importance of prioritizing their own health as much as their families’, with many taking active steps as part of their fitness journey.

✔        More than one fourth of respondents (28%) opt for walking as part of their fitness activity, followed by dieting (18%) and Zumba (16%)

✔        98% of respondents when asked about beverage choices agreed that the right choice of beverages can aid their overall holistic journey
