Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, April 01, 2013 — (Business Wire India) — In its 3rd year, the CFO100 honoured 100 CFOs, who are clearly a cut above the others, and have made extraordinary contributions to the world of corporate finance. The CFOs were chosen from over 300 nominations received, by a panel of eminent jury members that included Former Director- HR & ENR of Infosys, Mr. T V Mohandas Pai; Vice Chairman of TVS Capital Ltd, Mr. D Sundaram; CEO of ICAN Investment Advisors Mr. Anil Singhvi; Former Executive Director – Finance at ITC Group, Mr. K Vaidyanath; Executive Director & CFO at Wipro, Mr. Suresh Senapaty, Vice Chairman & CEO at HDFC, Mr. Keki Mistry, Adviser at Wockhardt, Mr. Hari Mundra, Executive Director & Group CFO at Mahindra and Mahindra, Mr. Bharat Doshi, Group Director Finance at Avantha Group, Mr. B Hariharan, Chief Financial Officer of Hero MotoCorp, Mr. Ravi Sud, Former CFO at Puravankara, Mr. Ravi Ramu.

Held at Vivanta by Taj in Mumbai on March 21, the ceremony was attended by over 150 CEOs, CFOs and guests. The CFO100 Roll of Honour was an effort to recognise the top 100 senior finance professionals in India who made a difference to their organisations and to the finance community at large, with their acumen, attitude and energy throughout 2012. Each of the 100 honourees were presented with a roll of honour for their contribution to the fields of corporate governance, risk management, green initiatives, collaboration, raising capital, strategy, use of technology, mergers & acquisitions and growth.

The event also saw two iconic corporate leaders being inducted into the CFO India Hall of Fame for their lifetime contribution to the field of finance. Each of those honoured – some of the most respected names from the world of finance – were recognised for having led the way and shaped the finance profession over the years, but most importantly, for having mentored and guided today’s emerging finance leadership. The new inductees were Mr. Koushik Chatterjee, Executive Director & CFO, Tata Steel and Mr. Milind Sarwate, Group CFO, Marico Group.

The chief guest for the felicitation ceremony, Chairman CIBIL, Mr. MV Nair handed over the certificates.

Welcoming guests to the evening session, Founder and Director, of 9.9 Media, Anuradha Das Mathur explained the process through which the jury had selected the 100 honourees from the over 300 nominations received. And also reiterated that CFO100 was an effort to bring untold stories to the fore and pay tribute to the incredible work being carried out by our finance leaders.

The guest of honour, Chairman CIBIL, Mr. MV Nair, spoke about how CFOs make great leaders. The event also saw an exhilarating talk by Ravi Ramu, Former CFO Puravankara and Mphasis, and author of the book Inside Indian T20, who spoke on his latest book – which had interesting insights on management and personal life challenges.
