New Delhi, November 05, 2017: Mr. Martin Aeberli, Executive General Manager Revenue Management, Planning and Strategy, Royal Brunei Airlines, Mr. Subash Goyal, Chairman, Stic Travel Group & Ms. Anju, Vice President – Strategic Alliances & Corporate Affairs, Stic Travel Group had a discussion with Mr. Sudhakar S Shetty, Sr. Vice President, Mr. C.R. Janardhana, Vice President, Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Bengaluru visited FKCCI on a Fact Finding Mission to explore the market for Royal Brunei Airlines to start direct flights from Brunei to Bengaluru.
Mr. Sudhakar S Shetty suggested that direct flights from Brunei to Bengaluru is more viable compared to New Delhi since most of the IT Companies, Science, Research& Technology based companies are functioning in Bengaluru.
As per the survey, Bengaluru is the better option compared to New Delhi since there is lot of competition in New Delhi and also the distance between Brunei and Bengaluru is less than Brunei and New Delhi. Air traffic will be more in Bengaluru since there are more than 250 Japanese and 200 Korean companies are based in Bengaluru.
Representatives from Royal Brunei Airlines explained on the connectivity from Brunei to Australia via Dubai which will reduce the travel time and cost. People from Bengaluru will enjoy the trip to Brunei for its natural beauty, rain forests, amusement parks which are in line with Disneyland and many other places.
Mr. Sudhakar S Shetty, Sr. Vice President suggested that a MoU between FKCCI and Royal Brunei Airlines can be signed for further collaboration.
