Hyderabad, November 06, 2017: Confederation of Indian Industry organized the 13th Edition of the Flagship event HR Conclave with the theme “When whY has the answers: The New Age HR Challenges and Insights”.

Speaking at the conclave, Mr. V Rajanna, Chairman, CII Telangana & Vice President, Regional Head & Global Head- Technology Business Unit, Tata Consultancy Services, said that success of any organization depends upon Process, Technology and People. Real customer satisfaction comes from Employee Satisfaction. The key challenge for HR is ensure the employees are equipped with the changing skills mix and meet the aspirations of their aspirations in this young era. Mr. Rajanna also said that digital Technology is a boon to imparting necessary skills and training the employees in a large scale. IT sector has given a big fillip to diversity wherein more than 1,00,000 women are employed in Hyderabad alone and about 35% of the workforce in IT across the country are Women.

Mr. Mir Faisal Uddin , Sr. VP & Business Leader –India, Synchrony Financial, appreciated CII for choosing Millennials or Generation Y as the main theme of the conference. He said that the organizations have to create strong purpose, interesting structures and systems at workplace to attract and retain the Millennials. The current generation uses social media more which is changing the way businesses are operating and which is also leading to emergence of new businesses.

Mr. Hari T , CEO, Call Health said that we need to build a society with an inquisitive mind so that the person could recalibrate oneself on regular basis. The current work spaces need to be more stress free and need to have pressure management techniques in place so that employees could maintain good health.

Mr. C Krishna Prasad , Chairman & Managing Director, Granules India Ltd, said that HR needs to train the workforce in doing the right things in a right way. He opined that the main objective of the HR managers should be to make the employees think and feel their aspirations for growth. They need to create an environment where the employees become ambitions.

A session was organized felicitating the winners of the CII HR Rising Stars Awards, to recognize young HR professionals who have adopted innovative methods to find solutions to the New Age HR challenges.

Mr B P Acharya, IAS ., Special Chief Secretary, Department of Planning, Government of Telangana was the Chief Guest and gave away the awards to the winners of the competition.

During his speech Mr Acharya said that HR plays a key role in motivating the employees which inturn contributes to the growth of the organization and that of the economy as a whole. He said that our country has a large demographic dividend and organizations need to partner with the Government in skilling the human resources of the country to ensure their employability. Unless this is done the country will be burdened with a non-productive workforce. He acknowledged the role that HR plays in the growth of an organization and it needs to be given the due recognition that it deserves.

The CII HR Rising Stars Awards were presented to Mr Ganesh Iyer, Senior Manager and Business HR Lead, ADP Pvt Ltd; Mr Siva Satyanarayana Reddy Vanukuri, Assistant Manager-HR, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and Ms Yolanda Maria Michael, Senior Manager-Staffing, Novartis Healthcare Pvt Ltd.

Few of the other speakers who addressed the Conclave are Mr Saurav Kumar, Director-HR, Avery Dennison; Ms Arathi Ponangi, Sr Manager Talent Management, ITC Infotech; Mr Manish Ranjan, CEO, NanoHealth among others. The Conclave was attended by over 250 HR professionals.
