Lucknow, April 03, 2018: Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industry minister Satyadeo Pachauri has said the state government would provide loan of Rs 378 crore to entrepreneurs for setting up 20,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the state under the prime minister employment creation scheme.
Addressing a seminar here on Sunday the minister said a study team would soon visit China and Japan to study the MSME sector in those countries and replicate their experience here for making the units in MSME sector viable. “The challenge before the government for taking the state on the path of development is not only to more employment opportunities but also to create job providers’’, said the minister.
He said the government is giving special emphasis on setting up small and medium industries in each of the 75 district of the state. He said the state government would soon launch “Deen Dayal Upadhaya Village uplift’ scheme for creating job opportunities in rural areas. He said there is huge potential of job creation in MSME sector. He said the government has provided several incentives to the investors for investing in MSME sector.
For dealing with the challenging task of job creation the state government has launched one district one product (ODOP) scheme and the objective of the scheme is to provide employment to the jobless youth within their native district and town. He said the entrepreneurs could avail the benefit of ODOP scheme by obtaining loan of up to Rs 10 Lakh under MUDRA scheme.
