Conference – Green Connected and Shared Mobility

Bangalore, 26 -28 February 2019: BIEC, Bangalore

We are pleased to announce that Future Mobility Show (FMS 2019), the continuous initiative of Green Mobility Xpo, is scheduled from 26-28 February 2019 from 1000 Hrs to 1700 Hrs (Business Hours) at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore.

Mobility is a crucial piece of the development puzzle and the key to unlocking the potential of Indias economy and people, ranging from pedestrian and personal transport to public transit and freight movement. The nation, with the world’s second largest populace and the fourth largest number of vehicles is eminently qualified to work on alternate options for Petrol / Diesel driven vehicles, on priority. Stringent emission norms, falling battery prices, reducing pollution and increasing consumer awareness are steering the adoption of Electric Vehicles and Alternatefuel driven vehicles in India.

Also a fundamental shift is happening from personally owned vehicles, towards a future-mobility system centered around driverless vehicles, shared mobility and more paving for cleaner environmental benefits,  maximised asset efficiency, and connected to meet end-to-end end user needs.

This new initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), for creating a sustainable future mobility in India, is supported by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India and associations like Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV), Association for Promotion of Electric Vehicles (APEV) of Japan, Society of Automotive Engineers India (SAEINDIA) and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).

The FMS 2019 is aimed at creating a common platform, for working towards the target of putting up a clean and sustainable Mobility for India by the year 2030, following on the lines of government of India’s initiatives and recent policies towards this. The event will focus on technological advancements and innovations to bring in alternate solutions to the conventional fuels that are currently in use in the automobile sector and to help achieve the target of zero emission mobility for India, in future.

This forum will provide an opportunity to all stakeholders from around the globe including decision makers from Industry, Government, Associations, Academicians to come together to discuss, deliberate, and find suitable solutions for a sustainable Future Mobility for India.
