Bangalore, Nov 13, 2014: Sowparnika Education Solutions has realised the growing need to enhance child safety systems in schools while in transport and to automate the class attendance process.
Suraksha is a cloud-based platform combined with the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags for students and their authorised guardians. It uses visual identification of parents, guardians and children as an additional layer of authentication. Suraksha will track each child who is received in transport, their attendance in school, boarding back for return and safe handover to authorised parents and guardians. Elder children will have the facility for unsupervised drop. It will alert the parents about no show for boarding, unsupervised drop off, and other events through SMS and alternate notification mechanisms. Suraksha will considerably reduce the valuable time spent on attendance process during the school day and increase the accuracy. Suraksha will bring together schools, transport providers, parents and guardians onto a single self-service platform, thereby achieving access to timely information to all the parties.
The solution consists of a preparatory cloud based portal, smart application built on android platform, location tracking through GPS and real time communication through GPRS.
Suraksha is currently in pilot at The Samhita Academy, Bangalore. The roll out will be completed by December 31, 2014. Suraksha will officially be available as attendance and safety platform for all schools by January 2015.
Sowparnika Education Solutions is a venture from Innovations – the family office of Mr. S.D. Shibulal.
