Mysore the Next Stop for Young Entrepreneurs

The Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), in association with Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), are organizing a seminar for budding entrepreneurs in Mysore on May 4, 2012. The mega event titled ‘Mysore Zonal Business and Infrastructure Development Summit’ (Mysore zone investors’ meet), will provide a platform for young entrepreneurs planning to venture into business. The Karnataka Udyog Mithra, Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB), Tourism Department, District Industries Centre (DIC), and the Karnataka State Small Industries’ Development Corporation are also associating with the event.

This business and infrastructure summit in Mysore is a prelude to the Global Investors’ Meet to be held in Bangalore in June 2012 and the focus of the summit will be to promote the six districts coming under the Mysore zone, highlight the available trained manpower, infrastructure and raw material availability including land, water and power for establishing industries. MCCI Chairman Sudharkar Shetty said the summit will bring forth new investors to explore the potential of the region and provide a forum to liaison with government agencies such as KIADB and KSFC. The summit will be attended by 1,000 industrialists, entrepreneurs and investors; with investments to the tune of approximately Rs. 5,000 crore expected for Mysore district alone.
