Belgium, September 16, 2019: During Labelexpo 2019, Flint Group Narrow Web will demonstrate the latest advances to the VIVO Colour Solutions, showcase the newest inks and coatings for food packaging applications, and unveil recent developments in the UV LED cured portfolio, including our Dual-Cure technology. Also on display at stand 28 in hall 5C will be several examples of flexible packaging constructions as well as prints made from our full portfolio of UV curable inks.

VIVO Colour Solutions became commercially available to Flint Group Narrow Web customers in early 2019. Since then, the web-based system, which is designed to increase the converter’s colour accuracy and reduce press downtime and substrate waste, has been expanded to include 180,000 ink formulations and pantone references. Additionally, VIVO Colour Solutions is now designed to feed formulations directly to ink dispensing equipment. These exciting advancements help converters easily meet every possible colour matching demand from designers and brand owners.

Flint Group Narrow Web will also introduce the latest developments, including Dual-Cure capability, to its UV LED ink and food packaging compliant portfolios. UV LED technology can significantly increase a converter’s press productivity and lower the energy consumption, therefore delivering significant savings. Henrik Bernquist, Product Manager, explains, “The UV LED technology (lamps and our inks) enables higher printing speeds, quicker job changes and less waste, 50% reduction in energy consumption, and importantly, a reliable and consistent cure. This is particularly important when printing products for food packaging. Additionally, our Dual-Cure offering means that converters who have presses with both mercury and LED lamps need only one ink series for both kinds of cure. This simplifies the inventory management for our customers.”

Flint Group Narrow Web is looking forward to sharing its expertise and understanding of current market trends with visitors to the show. Niklas Olsson, Business Development Manager, concludes, “Our mission at Labelexpo is to help converters expand their capabilities in the world of narrow web printing and find new revenue streams and business inspiration. With our unique product portfolio and our deeper understanding of our customers’ needs, we are dedicated to becoming the ‘Go To’ advisor for the label and packaging industries. We offer a complete range of the latest inks and advanced colour management services for any narrow web printing technique, and take great pride in the high and consistent quality of our press-ready products. We are pleased to attend Labelexpo Europe in its 40th anniversary year.”
