Food Tank (www.FoodTank.com), in partnership with The George Washington University Office of Sustainability, will hold a two-day summit, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2015 AND THURSDAY, JANUARY 22, 2015 FROM 9AM-5PM. The Summit will take place at the Jack Morton Auditorium (former home of CNN’s _Crossfire_) in Washington, D.C.

The event will bring together more than 75 EXPERT SPEAKERS WHO ARE AMONG THE TOP LEADERS ACROSS ALL SECTORS OF THE FOOD INDUSTRY, including
business, government, and elected officials; nonprofit groups; farmers’ organizations; unions; funders; chefs; and more. Each panel will be moderated by an expert journalist or food advocate. Researchers, farmers, chefs, policy makers, government officials, and students will come together for interactive panels on topics that include urban agriculture policy, workers in the food system, preventing food loss and waste, recognizing the importance of family farmers, food system resilience, the Milan Protocol, true cost accounting, and democratizing innovation, among other topics.
