New Delhi, November 26, 2015 : PepperTap, India’s leading hyperlocal grocery delivery service, is all set to realise its growth plans under the able leadership of its newly hired top level management. The organisational goals of increasing PepperTap’s footprint by venturing into newer cities has received the much-needed boost thanks to this recent hiring. The recent funding of $36 million will be further directed to drive strategic initiatives. With 4 key additions, the brand will ensure that they optimise their revenues and boost their customer service.

Over the past three months, PepperTap has been on the lookout for potential candidates who are promising, dedicated and enterprising. In August, Devadas Krishnan and Rohit Sood were brought on board as the Head of Operations and VP Category & Merchandising respectively. Devadas was brought in from G4S Corporate Services where he was leading the marketing & operations, product development and consumer research teams alongside working closely with South Asian and global teams to build brand and value proposition. Rohit’s skillsets as the Head of FMCG at Snapdeal were found to be perfectly in sync with his current position job profile, equipping him for an appointment that’s aimed at bringing more success to the company.

The month of October saw two more top-level employees join PepperTap including Tahseen Quadri, as VP Marketing. Her expertise in her field has played a big role in her appointment – she was heading marketing for Mobile Internet and Devices for the Tamil Nadu and Chennai circles for Airtel prior to her stint with PepperTap. Swati Bhargava, AVP – Consumer Experience was hired from Helion Ventures. In her former role, she successfully built relevant investment themes for hyperlocal e-commerce, online dating and public/private transport aggregation, which made her the perfect candidate to lead all the special projects at PepperTap.

Talking of these developments, Navneet Singh, Co-Founder and CEO, PepperTap, said, “The recent investment by leading investors has enabled us to concentrate on two pivotal aspects that can aid our growth in the hyperlocal market- technological strength and manpower. The current team-wise expansion will help us achieve our goal of scaling existing cities by the end of the year. It gives me immense pleasure to see how our company is expanding and I’m positive that the strategic leadership and direction of the senior management will only accelerate the process of growth and help us to effectively reach targets.”

The company has been investing heavily in boosting its technology and human resources. All this will only add to smoother back and front end operations alongside improving its diverse product offerings.
