New Delhi, February 10, 2016: Lal Bahadur Shastri Instituite of Management hosted its two days Annual National Level Inter-College Management and Cultural fest TATVA ’16 at its Dwarka campus, New Delhi.

The event was inaugurated by noted Hindi poet, Dr. Kumar Vishwas who was received by Shri Anil Shastri, Chairman and Former Union Minister. During his address Dr. Vishwas said that in order to impart better management education, it is important that in addition to the global definitions and practices of concepts, we should also focus on the trends in India and stressed on the fact that it was the professors that are most important in bringing that paradigm shift. He also greatly focused on the importance of “Out-of-the-Box” thinking for modern students and said that such thinking would give them immense confidence.

In addition to it, Dr. Arya Kumar, Director, LBSIM, agreeing to what Dr Kumar Vishwas quoted he said that even if 10 out of 300 students sitting here get influenced by the lessons from scriptures highlighted by Dr Kumar Vishwas and start thinking out of box and do what they love and enjoy; world would become better place to live and India having deep cultural roots would regain its golden era. “Gaining continuous knowledge and spirituality helps in overcoming darkness and face any challenge in life to excel”

The theme for Tatva 2016 was “Wings of Fire: Kalam’s Young India” where the events focused on the aspirations of our late President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

During the fest most happening and thrilling, DJ Night was organized on 5th of February, 2016. But most awaited event remained performance by one of the best Indian Rock Bands “EUPHORIA” in the Star Night held on 6th February, 2016.

The festival included over 50 events hosted by various academic clubs of the institute encompassing diverse topics like Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations as well as cultural events like Vogue – The Fashion Night, Dance Competition, Taping Fort Rock, Foot Sole (Solo Dance), Tapping Twain (Duet Dance), Nritya (Group Dance), Adakaari (Stage Play), Yalgaar (Street Play), Vogue Night and War of Bands for which over 1000students from various institutes across India competed for prizes worth Rs.15 Lakhs. Ativizva was the flagship event, which provided platform to simulate own travel company and come with a strategy for tourism.

Dr. G.L. Sharma, Corporate Interface and Advisor, LBSIM, during the conclusion of Tatva’16 said that, annual fest such Tatva not only encourage students but also sparks competitive spirit in them.
