New Delhi, July 16, 2016: NowFloats, a Hyderabad based technology start-up founded in 2012, has announced that it now powers businesses in over 1000 cities across more than 50 countries worldwide. NowFloats helps businesses create an online presence instantly using the NowFloats Boost App, and makes it discoverable in local searches using frictionless machine learning technology and big data. The bulk of NowFloats’ business comes from India where their sales team is currently focused though NowFloats has customers across 50 countries with partnerships in Canada, Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Zambia, Malaysia & Indonesia.

Says Mr. Jasminder Singh Gulati, Co-Founder and CEO, NowFloats, “Across the world, businesses today realize that while building an online presence may be easy, yet it can be very tedious to keep it relevant to business and even more cumbersome to get customers to visit often. Consequently, platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, and apps emerged as the new frontiers of business yet discoverability still remained a major challenge. As the world’s first and only prompted, business content platform, NowFloats addresses this by automatically helping business owners promote their content to the right audiences. Our unequivocal focus is on helping business sites get relevant traffic and earn more revenue.”

Commenting on the India market, Jasminder adds, “With India having more internet users than the entire population of the U.S. and a mere 0.7 million of the 52 million small and medium businesses owning a website, we decided to initially test our product on the home turf. The opportunity to test the scalability and robustness of our product on a myriad of business scenarios was immense. In just 3.5 years of inception, NowFloats already caters to nearly 250,000 small businesses in India, which translates to about a third of all the small business sites in India and over 5% of all local searches land on the NowFloats platform. Many of our customers are now renewing with us for 3 to 5 years in one go. But more than all of this, what swept us off our feet was the fact that almost a thousand businesses outside of India have discovered NowFloats on their own to sell locally in their country!”

Some of the enterprise customers in India that use NowFloats include IndusInd Bank, Canon, Samsung, Bayer, Tata Group’s Fastrack, ColorPlus, Asian Paints, and Ezone. Series A funded by Omidyar Network, Blume Ventures and Mumbai Angels, NowFloats was incubated at Microsoft Ventures. It has been a winner of Microsoft BizSpark Challenge, Google Best App, a finalist in iSPIRT InTech50 and was rated as disruptive by Frost & Sullivan. In 2013, NowFloats was also among the NASSCOM Emerge 50. The NowFloats founding team includes CEO Jasminder Singh Gulati, COO Nitin Jain, CXO Neeraj Sabharwal and Chief Software Architect Ronak Kumar Samantray, who was listed among Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 in March 2016.
