Bengaluru, August 29, 2019: It’s common knowledge that society generally views the specially-abled from an overly sympathetic vantage point that often restricts their potential to fulfil their life goals. Taking a bold step forward in portraying the specially-abled as capable and talented individuals, Orion Avenue (Formerly known as Orion East Mall), in association with Kalpavriksha, is organising Varata. The one-of-a-kind talent show will be an effective and inclusive platform for the specially-abled to showcase their talents and gain credibility in the public eye. The event will be held on August 31st from 3pm onwards at Orion Avenue in Cooke Town.

“Even in this day and age where socially progressive ideas are gaining traction in the public conscience, the specially-abled are struggling to gain acceptance as being capable. Varata is conceived as a catalyst to shift the public perception to one that’s more favourable to them. By associating with Kalpavriksha, known for their social outreach initiatives, we believe that Orion Avenue’s influence and popularity amongst the urban crowd of Bangalore will make it the perfect venue for the specially-abled to come forward and shine in the spotlight” says Shashie Kumar, COO – Retail.
