Mumbai, September 29, 2016: Shaw Contract, a business unit of Shaw Industries Group Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, launched their new carpet collection in India. The Asian launch in India was a milestone for the company, a global floor covering brand, marking its first such event in the country.
The company launched four exclusive collections – Modern Edit, Extraordinary, Configure &Places– in the Asian market.
Shaw’s carpet designs have won Best of Neocon awards for the past 14 years. Neocon is North America’s most important design exposition & conference for commercial interiors.

Modern Edit Collection:Connecting to the past. Re-framing the concept of heritage. Configure Collection:Building on the success of our 2013 launch of the Hexagon collection, it was appropriate timing to add to the portfolio of existing styles. We selected the current style Plane as a base for the Configure collection, and focused on complementing the best-selling colors with 14 new additions to the palette. These include: six cool greys, one yellow, three teals, one coral, and three shades of magenta.
Places Collection: Places captures single moments in a natural landscape and weaves in architectural moments of a city landscape to evoke a memory of a journey or destination. This collection is inspired by global travel and provides you a glimpse of the quiet moment of nature contrasted by the lights and action surrounding a city skyline. Natural and atmospheric, the color palette features a range of soft colors along with moments of bright purposeful color.
