AskMe Hosts “The Rising Stars Cup” – A First Ever Cricketing Tournament for Startups and E-Commerce Companies

Gurgaon, March 20, 2016 : AskMe.com, India’s leading online search platform and one of the largest digital SME marketplaces, announced the successful completion of the inaugural edition of ‘The Rising Stars Cup’, a first-of-its kind of cricket series between e-commerce and emerging startups in the country. The mega cricketing event was organized by the AskMe group and witnessed participation from 11 teams who were vying for top honors.

The participating companies included Snapdeal, OYO Rooms, PayU, IndiaMart, UrbanClap, ShopClues, Web Shuttle, Plaza Sports Network (PSN), Sociowash, Foodpanda and AskMe. The winner of this 2-day long tournament was Plaza Sports Network (PSN), a start-up aimed at promoting sports in the country. PSN later played an exhibition match with STAIRS, a Delhi-based NGO for underprivileged kids. The audience appreciated the variety of culinary options from Faasos, Foodpanda, and What The Truck.
