BCTA donated 2000 Footballs to Delhi government in the presence of Chief Minister, Delhi Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, December 18, 2017: The Baptist Church Trust Association (BCTA) along with Sudeva, a Delhi- based residential football school was swept by the Yuletide spirit with Christmas fervor, witnessed all across BCTA grounds where honourable Chief Minister, Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was the Chief Guest for the event.

In Delhi eight schools run under BCTA, out of which around 2500 students enjoyed the celebration with joy and cheer. Students danced to joyful tunes. Even the Xmas trees and Santa danced to the exciting tunes. There was a carol presented by the teachers/Students. The students gave a benevolent touch to the entire celebration by sharing their joy with under-privileged children of neighbouring areas.

“A very happy Christmas to all of you. I am delighted to be a part of this Christmas celebration. I request everyone that whenever we are praying we should pray for our country. If we see Jesus’s life, he dedicated his entire life in helping the needy ones. I request all the children present here to learn from his life the lesson of helping the needy ones” said, Delhi Chief Minister, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal.

“BCTA along with Sudeva is celebrating the Christmas carnival with students and under privileged children to spread the real message of love and joy. We also decided to donate 2000 number of footballs to the Delhi Government. we are also donated some balls to the under privileged children. With this I wish you all Merry Christmas,” said Mr. Sumeet Nath, Secretary-Treasurer, BCTA.

The children came beautifully appointed in party gear for the Christmas celebration, with the school teachers wishing Merry Christmas to all the children and staff. The celebration ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Nath.

BCTA always works for betterment of the society and as well as in the front of children, education and sports. BCTA taken initiative to promote sports, for FIFA U-17, the BCTA grounds was selected for the practice session and it has also organised soccer workshop- PEM (Programa Esportivo Mundials) for under privileged children. The motive of this workshop was to boost sports activity in India and which was held at BCTA ground, Delhi for which a Brazilin Coach was invited to trained children.

BCTA as an organisation has always believed in spreading happiness through sharing and the joy of giving. To fulfill its motive it has always distributed blankets and food packets to the slums and to the area of natural disaster. It even distributes free medicines through its charitable dispensaries and run hostels for its needy students.
