Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, Friday, April 12, 2013 — (Business Wire India) — In a small ceremony during Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg Diehl Aircabin GmbH and Diehl Comfort Modules GmbH after stringent audit of the production facility and Quality Assurance systems has finally given a go ahead to commence production of its aviation grade cable and harness systems to E.I.S. Electronics (India) Pvt. Ltd.
E.I.S. Electronics (India) Pvt. Ltd. is a joint Venture between MKU Pvt. Ltd., India, and E.I.S. Electronics GmbH, Germany, to manufacture high quality aviation grade cable & harnesses in order to cut costs to meet stiff competition vis-a-vis prices and quality.
The MOU was signed between both the companies during Defexpo in February 2012. The facility located in Kanpur commenced production in January 2013. ” The 800 sqm (8600 sq ft) facility currently employs 20 people but can house 80 personnel when operating full capacity. The shop floor can further be expanded at a later date as and when required ” stated Mr. Sumit Khandelwal – Director E.I.S. Electronics (India) Pvt. Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Burkhard Mueller, Director, E.I.S. Electronics GmbH, said, “It has taken us less than a year to bring the facility to international operating norms and standards and I am personally extremely happy to see the way things are shaping up for future. I see great potential of cost effective qualitative production through our Indian facility and this approval from Diehl is first important step in this direction.
