Bengaluru, November 25, 2015: The invite for B Ravi Pillai’s daughter Aarthi’s wedding comprises of 3 distinct bespoke boxes designed exclusively by THE ENTERTAINMENT DESIGN CO. The design carries elements of religious devotion with design aesthetics like never before.
The invite is reminiscent of the eternal love of Krishna and his favourite consort Radha. The gift box has a baroque styled lid with the initials of Aarthi and her fiancé Adithya, carved onto a metal styled plate giving it a plush and courtly feel.
The second box contains the wedding invitation that announces the forthcoming celebrations. The outer box design contains peacock plumage with delicately positioned lotus flowers set with the backdrop of a lush forest, almost a direct resemblance to the ancient paintings depicting Indian Mythology. Central to the design is the emboss of the bride’s and groom’s initials. When you open the box, you are greeted by the wedding announcement card that rests perfectly on a pink base adorned by the lotus in gold; the card has a beautiful painting of Krishna and Radha amidst the forest of tranquility and love. Careful gold leafing has been used to outline their love which is pure. Below the card is cavity space for a memorabilia.
The third box which holds the individual ceremonies is designed in a way to bring auspicious blessing to the receiver. The outer box has been encapsulated in a beautiful painting with baroque styled laser cut pockets giving one a sneak peek into the forthcoming wedding celebrations. Once you open the lid you are met with a huge painting of Krishna and Radha styled around a holy amalgamation of Shlokas or compilation of ancient texts, and every piece when removed reveals a wedding ceremony. The box is designed to hold the declaration of holy matrimony along with cavity space for sweet savories.
