Firefox cycles and Noida Police all set to celebrate the Noida Traffic Month

On November 29, cycling communities and Noida Police officials will kick-start the cycling drive from The Great India Place Mall

Noida, December 03, 2015: In a joint initiative, Firefox, a leading player in the premium bikes segment, and Noida Traffic Police have decided to celebrate the Noida Traffic Month. With The Great India Place (TGIP) as the venue partner, and Firefox as the bicycle partner, the Bicycle Awareness Ridewill aim at spreading awareness about cycling being a healthy and integral part of the city’s transit system. This one-day drive, organised by Noida Police, will begin and end at TGIP on November 29. Anybody can register for the event for free.

Highlighting the significance of such green initiatives, Mr. Kiran. S., Noida Traffic Police SSP, said, “In a bid to bring down the pollution levels, reduce traffic congestion in the city and encourage people to shift to healthier modes of transportation, we have resolved to invite people for this rally. We will set an example by taking to bicycles ourselves. The idea is to get out on the road, breathe pollution-free air and ride without dodging several cars, scooters, buses and motor bikes.”

To show solidarity, three senior Noida Police officials have volunteered to be a part of this rally. Mr. Kiran. S. (SSP, Noida), Mr. R. N. Yadav (SP, Traffic, Gautam Budh Nagar) and Mr. Dharmendra Singh Yadav (Traffic Inspector, Gautam Budh Nagar) will be seen cycling along with several other cycling communities.

Talking of Firefox’s decision to lend support to the Noida Traffic Police’s initiative, Mr. Shiv Inder Singh,CEO, Firefox Bikes Pvt. After reviewing the response of this particular rally, the Noida Traffic Police might even look at organising a No Car Day as was observed in some parts of the city recently.
