Frederique Constant presentstwo new Slimline Perpetual Calendar Manufacture timepieces

New Delhi, September 11, 2019: The pursuit of better value for consumers remains at the heart of Frederique Constant’s vision. In 2016,Frederique Constant introduced new mechanical excellence to its collection with its first in-house Perpetual Calendar, the FC-775 calibre.

A major goal was to make a watch at a contemporary size with the sub-dials placed at an ideal distance from the center of the watch to maintain the overall visual harmony of the dial design.

These two new additions highlight a grey dial with sunray decoration and applied indexesfeaturing Perlage and circular Côtes de Genèvedecoration on the movement, all in a refined polished stainless steel, or rose gold-plated polished stainless case.

As a Perpetual Calendar, this timepiece not only indicates the lunar cycles but also the minutes, hours, date, day, month and year in four digits; each placed strategically to offer an aesthetically pleasant and easy-to-read dial. The date is indicated at 3 o’clock, the day of the week at 9 o’clock, the month at 12 o’clock as well as the leap year, in a sub-dial at 6 o’clock.

Every single complication can be easily adjusted via the correctors. Once adjusted, this highly sophisticated mechanism will take into account the months with 30 and 31 days, the 28 days of February and also the leap year cycle with the return of 29 of February every four years.  Normally, this watch shouldn’t require any manual correction before 400 years, but as there is an exception in the Gregorian Calendar, the watch will need to be adjusted on March 1st 2100.

The Frederique Constant Slimline Perpetual Calendar Manufacture offers a clear reading, featuring the month, date, day of the week and year, as well hours, minutes, leap year and a moonphase indicator.
