Tadipatri, January 20, 2016: Gerdau, the leading producer of long steel in the Americas and one of the largest suppliers of special steel in the world, has recentlydeveloped facilities at its Tadipatri plant to produce steel for Leaf Springs. Leaf springs are used in the suspension for heavy commercial vehicles such as vans and trucks, SUVs, and railway carriages. The leaf spring acts as a linkage for holding the axle in position and thus separate linkages are not necessary. It makes the construction of the suspension simple and strong.
The first consignment was supplied to the Leaf Spring manufacturing customer from GSI facilities on 15th Jan 2016, it was flagged off by Mr. Ugaraj Delli, Mr. Purushotamin the presence of Industrial Director Jaya Prakash.
