New Delhi, November 26, 2015: Google celebrated the 94th birth anniversary of Verghese Kurien, the Father of White Revolution and the founder of diary giant Amul, with a doodle. Kurien’s ‘White Revolution’ gave India the identity of being the largest producer of milk in the world. Kurien was also the man behind the creation and success of ‘Amul’ which deals with a multitude of dairy products.
The Doodle shows the ‘milkman of India’ with a can in his hand as a buffalo looks on. Kurien’s revolutionary ideas lead to a self-sustaining dairy industry in India.-The Hindu
