India SME Leadership Summit takes the lead in MoUs

Doha Bank and the SME development chamber of India have signed a MoU for marketing, sales and services partnership to support the SME market in India. The agreement was inked at a national level event ‘India SME Leadership Summit’, jointly organised by the SME Chamber of India, Indian SME Knowledge Forum and India International Trade Centre (IITC-India) with the support of Government of Maharashtra last week.

R Seetharaman, Doha Bank Group CEO was part of the panel discussion: ‘Economic Growth of India – Role of SMEs’ and spoke about SMEs and Global Competitiveness: Strategies for Survival and Growth. He spoke at length on the increasingly globalised world where SMEs have to unprecedentedly compete globally. “They are both the most dynamic and the most vulnerable constituent in the global economy. The 21st century belongs to the SMEs.”

The summit brought together eminent global business leaders face to face with Indian entrepreneurs for an effective interaction to understand the latest developments and strategies to manage enterprises, corporate ethics and human interaction. The event was organised to create awareness about business ethics, good governance, corporate social responsibility, management practices, global competition, new business opportunities, tackling challenges, business strategies and preparing for international collaborations.
