New Delhi, January 19, 2018: The women team from Ladakh have become the first ever Indian National Women’s Ice Hockey team who represented the country at the IIHF Ice
Hockey Challenge Cup of Asia, 2016. Comprising a total 20 players, the team boasts of girls from rural regions of Ladakh, too. The team created history in March 2017 by clinching its first victory ever in an international match. The women’s squad defeated Philippines at the Challenge Cup of Asia, held in Bangkok.
