ING Vysya Bank has unveiled an ATM card exclusively for farmers, linked to their kisan credit card (KCC) account. To get this card, the farmers are required to get a KCC limit with the bank via its branch network and also get their loan sanctioned. It is possible to use their ATM card to withdraw funds as per the need via the ATM networks.
Now, the farmers can avail their kisan credit card (KCC) limit without visiting the bank branches for distributions. They are just required to swipe their electronic cards at the nearest ATM outlet whenever at the time of funds.
The need of funds for farmers are usually staggered across the different timelines of the crop season — buying seeds, fertilisers, labour payments.
Recently, the card has been unveiled in Chandigarh. ING Vysya Bank will be providing this card in the initial stages in North and then unveiling is likely to start this month.
The current ING Vysya customers who have a KCC limit can apply for using this add-on facility.
