Modern day conflicts will be fought in a complex land/air environment based on cutting edge technology. UAVs due to their versatility, ability to fly long ranges, long endurance and multi-payload capability would play a major role in achieving success in such operations. It also helps to minimizing the human loss. India needs to develop, maintain and continuously fine-tune it’s surveillance and reconnaissance assets.
