“IPE CSR Corporate Governance Awards” was scheduled on 24th November, 2012 @ Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The IPE CSR Corporate Governance Awards attempted to recognise the Best practices in CSR. The awards merit recognition to contributions made by an organisation & individual which has made a difference to the people and the community and played a role of responsible citizen. The awards were endorsed by World CSR Congress, World CSR Day, CMO Asia & Asian Confederation of Business.

The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad is a non-profit educational society and honors outstanding female personalities for their social work with the CSR Woman Leader 2012 Award. IPE is the premier Business School at Hyderabad and is recognized as a “Centre of Excellence” by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi for doctoral studies.

Awards were given to people and companies in various categories from Public and Private Sector Companies and Non profit Organizations. Some of the awardees were NHPC, IOCL, ONGC, THDC, Power Grid Corporation, GAIL, SAIL, Blue Dart. In the NPO sector HelpAge India, Vani and others were conferred. There was a special recognition for Women CSR Leaders which was conferred to Ms. Harsha Mukherjee of Ekjaa Foundation (www.ekjaa.org) . Ekjaa supports various NPOs to become sustainable and provides a right connect between NPOs and Corporates. It develops CSR strategy for corporate and also engages youth by Ekjaa Campus Leader program in the process. She is on the Editorial board of IndiaCSR, Director at NGF Global a Social Enterprise and was formerly Vice President at Indian Center for CSR. She also has another company CSR Development Stories under her belth which aims to educate and communicate CSR best practices of various Corporate.
