Jabong appoints Deepa chaddha as HR head

New Delhi, February 20, 2016: India’s leading online fashion retailer Jabong announces that it has appointed DEEPA CHADDHA as its CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER. The move comes as a part of Jabong’s endeavour to strengthen its leadership as it transforms itself from a start-up to a professionally run profitable organisation. The online fashion retailer registered the highest-ever month-on-month growth of nearly 35%
in its net revenue for January 2016.

A veteran in the field, Deepa brings with her 20 years of leadership experience having worked across dimensions of people functions in Telecom, Software, KPO and Pharma industries. She has donned many hats in her career. Prior to joining Jabong, Deepa was the Head of HR, Global Center of Excellence functions, Bharti Airtel. She also led the Global HR Shared Services for Airtel’s B2B business. Earlier, for three and a half years Deepa led the Global HR Shared Services operations for Genpact and set up its HR Outsourcing practice. She led critical business roles with Oracle for nearly six years, managing Presales and Business Development functions. She was instrumental in launching and establishing the Oracle Human Capital Management brand in India. Deepa holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

Following Mohanty’s appointment as CEO last December, the online fashion leader recently appointed Ranjan Kant as its Chief Marketplace Officer and Kalyan Kumar as the Head of Merchandise in an effort to strengthen leadership.
