Jabong celebrates International Yoga Day by conducting ‘Chair Yoga’ for its employees

New Delhi, June 23, 2017 : India’s leading online fashion destination, Jabong conducted a Chair Yoga session for its employees today to celebrate the 2nd International Yoga Day. The session adds to the long list of initiatives taken up by the e-tailer to enable a favourable working environment for its employees. One of the simplest forms of Yoga, the Chair Yoga is performed while sitting on a chair or while standing and using the chair as a prop. Though it does not include complex poses, Chair Yoga does ensure physical and mental activeness. Practicing Chair Yoga increases blood circulation, improves feet, toes, hand and finger movements, improves balance, stimulates the elimination of body toxins and improves posture.

Organised by Simpli fit, the Chair Yoga session was supervised by renowned yoga expert and youngest yoga trainer in India, Apurvaa Saxena. With 10 years of experience as a Yoga expert, Apurvaa is listed amongest the top 5 Yoga trainers in Delhi and specializes in transformational yoga, power yoga and meditation. The sessions were conducted in two phases throughout the day and saw active participation from the employees as well as the senior leadership of Jabong. The United Nations General Assembly had declared an international day for Yoga in 2014 while Prime Minister Narendra Modi had suggested 21 June as the day to commemorate the same.
