New Delhi, April 24, 2017: With its message of conserving the nature, Chattarpur situated MADE EASY Preschool, observed the World Earth Day at its campus on Friday. The school conducted a plantation drive along with various other activities to mark the day. The events were planned to teach the kids, the value of our mother Earth and give them a holistic growth. The school staff along with students had been conducting an Earth Week since last Monday, during which activities like cleanliness drive, poster making and pasting, awareness about plastic bag boycott etc. were conducted by the school staff and the students. Creative collages were made with messages like “Clean Earth, Green Earth”, “I Love My Earth”, “Save Water”, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, “Say No To Plastic Bags” etc. The children also indulged in making boxes and decoratives using old and unused stationery, learning the concept of recycling and reuse. The concept of using different trash bins was also explained to the children, showcasing them with ‘Dry’, ‘Wet’, and ‘Recycle’ types of bins.
On Friday, the school planted many saplings in its premises and nearby surroundings. Active storytelling session on the day’s theme was enjoyed the most by the pupils, as they learned the significance of conserving the environment through stories. Speaking about the whole initiative, school’s MD, Ms. Jyoti Singh said, “We, through our campaign tried to spread the message of conserving our environment. When children get such learning at young age, it reflects their overall growth and progress in future. The toddlers not only learnt but also had a gala time”. The event was well appreciated by everyone and seeing the tiny tots working for such a noble cause made everyone proud.
