Bengaluru, March 30, 2016: To enable India to capitalize on the growth opportunities and position itself as the Global Engine of Growth and the Global Manufacturing Hub of choice, Government of India in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing ‘The Make in India Week’ from 13-18 February 2016 in Mumbai. SHRI NARENDRA MODI, HON’BLE PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA WOULD BE INAUGURATING THE EVENT ON 13TH FEBRUARY.
Coinciding with the Make in India Week, the Department of Defence Production along with CII organising a seminar on Make in India – Defence & Aerospace on 16th February 2016 from 1000 – 1300 Hrs at the Make in India venue.
The deliberations at the seminar would be led by SHRI A K GUPTA, SECRETARY (DEPARTMENT OF DEFENCE PRODUCTION) and the seminar will have senior level participation from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Civil Aviation, Indian Armed Forces, DPSU’s & Private Sector.
Deliberations at this seminar will focus on:
1) Make in India Defence – Outsourcing and Vendor Development.
2) MRO potential in Defence and Aerospace.
3) FDI & JV’s: Perspective from foreign OEMs
