Myntra appoints Manpreet Ratia to head HR & New Initiatives and hires Key Executives for Technology Team

Bengaluru, June 02, 2016: India’s leading fashion & lifestyle etailer, Myntra has appointed Manpreet Ratia as its Chief People Officer and Head of New Initiatives. In his new role, he will be driving key HR functions with a focus on talent acquisition and retention for various levels and verticals. He will also drive new business initiatives which will help strengthen and grow Myntra’s leadership position in the online fashion industry.

An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Manpreet has over 20 years of leadership experience from domains such as Financial Services and E-Commerce in India, United Sates and Asia – with a track record of building businesses, turnarounds and creating value and unique experiences for customers. He is also known for his collaborative leadership style and a penchant for new technologies in order to create differentiation. Manpreet joins Myntra from Amazon (India) where he was Director & Head of Last Mile Operations and where he successfully leveraged technology, new business and delivery models to ensure best in class delivery experience for customers and optimum cost models for Amazon.

Prior to Amazon, Manpreet spent over 7 years with Citibank where he was Managing Director and Asia COO for Citi Treasury and Trade business based in Hong Kong. Prior to Citi, Manpreet spent over 8 years with GE where he carried out a variety of leadership roles in India, US and Asia, in Human Resources, Six Sigma and Business Development. Manpreet has also worked with Nestle India, Oberoi Hotels among others, earlier in his career.

Manpreet is an MBA in HR from XLRI, Jamshedpur and graduated from GE’s John F Welch Center of Advanced Management Education at Crottonville, New York. He has a certification in International Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasures in the UK and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.

Myntra has also been attracting great talent in other functions as well. Myntra has brought onboard Sharath Bulusu as VP- Product for strengthening its product team. Sharath joins in from Housetrip.com in UK where he was Chief Product Officer. He has also worked with Google & Twitter among other companies. The company has also recently hired few key individuals as leaders in its product & engineering teams such as Ravdeep Chawla from FreeCharge, Mangesh Dalvi from Xiaomi, Sumit Borar from eBay, Rohit Chauhan from 24/7 and Aditya Singh from Open Table.
