New Delhi, April 10, 2015: The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh has said that the Nation will never forget the supreme sacrifice made by jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) while discharging their duties. The Union Home Minister was addressing the CRPF Valour Day function.
Shri Rajnath Singh said that he is aware of the issues faced by the CRPF and other paramilitary forces and his government is working towards resolving those issues. He recalled that the government has considered hospitalization as ‘on duty’ and the government is working on awarding ‘hard area allowances’ also. The Union Home Minister said that the CRPF not only works to maintain the internal security in the country but also discharges its social responsibility. The CRPF has done good work in the field of telemedicine in LWE affected areas of Chhattisgarh, he added.
The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary, the Director General of CRPF, Shri Prakash Mishra, Directors General of other paramilitary forces and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
