It is much more than just a day off and this is also a reminder with a message to the generation of today which is forgetting the core of freedom. Jashn-e Azadi is a tribute to the countless sacrifice made by our countrymen for Independence and a showcase of our journey of nation building, after the independence, culmination into the fast rising global powerhouse that India is, today. It’s an effort to bring together the youth of the country and to draw them into building a better India. To convey this, we have been organizing Jashn- E Azadi sinc e 2013, and we are thrilled to share that every year the participation is growing by leaps & bounds . The 2 week independence festival shall conclude with a Jashn-E Azadi Bike Rally on August 15 where approximately 100 Harley Davidson bikes will cover the length and breadth of the national capital on a pre designated route.”

Mr. Lee Hye Kwang, Charge d’ affaires, Embassy of the Republic of Korea I am so happy that we can celebrate Independence Day with India. Korean freedom fighters were inspired by Mahatma Gandhi during Korea’s struggles for freedom. Through this kind of cooperative celebration we are looking to strengthen the relationship between India and Korea and pave the way for an everlasting friendship for the coming generation.
