Orange Foundation Supports “Living with Dignity” Philanthropic Project with Tamana Schoolchildren in India

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Monday, March 25, 2013 — (Business Wire India) — As a part of its ongoing commitment to corporate philanthropy, Orange Foundation today launched the “Living with Dignity” project with Tamana, a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping mentally challenged, disabled and autistic children. Throughout the year-long project, Orange will support vocational training for more than 100 chidren with special needs, by establishing a bakery, as well as jam & pickle-making units to foster new skills.

The project is fully funded by Orange Foundation under their program “Orange support without borders”. Since its creation in 1987, Orange Foundation’s purpose is to create links between individuals and especially to facilitate communication for those who are excluded for several reasons, such as health, handicap or their economic situation. Assisting with the project at the local level is a dedicated team from the India Major Service Center (MSC) within Orange Business Services, the enterprise communications arm of the Orange Group. The local team has been involved in many social projects, including Project Sunshine, which provided vocational training for underprivileged women and children.
