Bangalore, June 02, 2018: An unwavering commitment to social responsibility is one of the driving forces at Orion Malls.  As an extension of this, an awareness and action campaign with a difference was rolled out on World No Tobacco Day, Today at Orion Mall @ Brigade Gateway. The day has been designated by the World Health Organization to create and spread awareness about the damaging effects of tobacco use and to prevent it.

While the damaging effect of tobacco on the health is what drives most “No Tobacco campaigns”, Orion Mall is encouraging people to quit smoking by communicating that money spent on tobacco, which is so damaging, can be spent on things that can bring joy.

To send out this message there are installations of product that customers can buy, such as headphones, bags and shoes, created from cigarette shapes. This messaging follows through to a call to action. Orion Mall customers are being encouraged to make a Quit Smoking pledge. Those who make the pledge are receiving discounts on purchases from Participating brands at Orion Mall @ Brigade Gateway. They can then spend the money they usually would spend on tobacco on buying something of value and purpose. The campaign is on till June 10th , 2018.

Sunil Munshi, Sr. General Manager, says, “We at Orion Mall take our corporate social responsibility seriously. It’s not just a slogan for us, but an opportunity to truly make a difference. It is this philosophy that underlines our initiatives for this year’s World No Tobacco Day.”
