Oxigen cheers the Indian Girls Football Teams, for the Dana Cup in Denmark

New Delhi, July 20, 2016: Oxigen Services, the pioneer mobile wallet and payment solutions provider in India, organized an official good luck send off to the two Indian Girls Football team for the upcoming international Dana Cup, to be held in Denmark. The team was facilitated in the Gurgaon office of Oxigen, before it left for the football showdown in Denmark. The Dana Cup is an annual International Youth Soccer tournament, with a participation from over 50 countries.

Oxigen is always in the forefront to support grassroots sports and gives opportunities to the lesser privileged participate in important local and global events.

In the past, Oxigen also supported Oxigen Cup for specially abled cricket teams of India & Sri Lanka and not limiting to only cricket, Oxigen also sponsored the Kerela Blasters Football club in the Indian Soccer League. Oxigen contributed with sponsorships, for the Soccer Foundation’s AMMA FC, ANDRO, in Manipur, which is a Football hub and is a Coaches Organisation, engaged with school children having a special focus on developing soccer skills in schoolgirls, with an objective to make the Women’s football team, eventually qualify for the FIFA world Cup 2027.

Oxigen sponsored the Doon Cup for Girls football where over 10 schools from all over India participated, followed by The Oxigen Imphal Cup in Manipur, which drew a participation from over 40 schools from rural locations, this has now culminated in sponsoring the Indian Girls teams for the Dana Cup in Denmark.

In the commercial space, Oxigen sponsored the South Africa T20 squad 2015-16 & New Zealand Black Caps World T20 team 2016, Cricket All Stars USA, 2015 and Masters Champions League Dubai 2016, Oxigen went to become the title sponsor for Gujrat Lions during the recent IPL extravaganza in 2016.

Sharing his thoughts on the event, Pramod Saxena, CMD, Oxigen Services, said, “We are delighted to sponsor the Girls teams to the Dana Cup in Denmark and for most of the girls it will be a first experience travelling overseas. I am sure that this will give all the participants greater exposure and confidence in honing their skills to continue to play football with zest and vigour. The ceremony was made further entertaining with the floral presentation and distribution of the Indian sporting Jersey and Oxigen track suits. After an inspiring address by the Chairman, the staff and the team members indulged in a wallet loading and a football based quiz competition. The members further mingled when the Football Team taught the female staff of Oxigen on how to play football, score and defend a goal.
