Public Bicycle sharing in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC)

New Delhi, September  06, 2020: MMRDA is Continuously Striving to address the problems arising out of vehicular traffic in Bandra-Kurla Complex. Together, to also keep the pollution levels down, an initiative to promote the non-motorized transport in BKC by way of promoting Public Bicycle Sharing (PBS). MMRDA has already signed the Memorandum of Understanding with M/s Yulu Bikes Pvt. Ltd. to facilitate e-bike services to the commuters/visitors to BKC with the help of YULU on 31st January, 2020.

The PBS system will provide the last mile connectivity to/from Bandra and Kurla stations to BKC.There are 18 Bike Stations in BKC in first place phase which will be subsequently being increased as per demand.To avail the facility one has to pay Rs 5 towards unlocking charges and then Rs 1.5 for every 1 minute of ride. There will be facilities of monthly recharges and bonus of 20-100%.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the agency will sanitize the e-bikes frequently and will take sufficient care of the allied facilities. The facility was to start by February 2020, but due Covid-19 pandemic situation it is being operational on 31st August 2020.
