Raklet wins the Payments Dragons’ Den Global prize at Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global 2015

Bengaluru, December 27, 2015: Raklet has been crowned champion at this year’s Payments Dragons’ Den Global, an annual competition giving payments entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their industry disrupting innovations to an expert panel of leading financial technology pioneers, as well as hundreds of payments professionals.

Rakletis a private social network cloud based platform for non-profits and associates to build, manage, monetise and grow their community.   • Cybertonica uses machine learning and specific data about transaction behaviours to build real-time dynamic responses to fraudsters, allowing up to 50% more legitimate customers to complete their purchases without further checks’, leading to a 40% drop in abandonment. Tracking tools allows gives customers a comprehensive understanding of the differing payment platform vulnerabilities.
  • Scanovate specialises in developing and providing innovative optical character recognition (OCR) solutions for the financial and merchant sectors. Scanovate’s family of products consists of powerful standalone mobile OCR engine for financial processing and payment industry. Their multi-tiered card authentication technology provides clients with higher mobile commerce conversion rates and substantially reduces their exposure to fraud and chargebacks.
  • DOV-E – Data Over Voice encoding Ltd. is a startup company that developed a unique software IP technology enabling data connectivity over ANY kind of audio medium. Their technology provides wireless connectivity in the proximity between any consumer’s mobile device and any merchant’s endpoint using the ubiquitous audio interfaces. Their main applications include short range mobile payment and long range promotion.

At the event, held in the traditional Dragons’ Den format, the finalists each presented their pitch, answered questions and demonstrated their products and services in front of the Dragons’ Den judging panel. This comprised five senior payment experts: Ersin Pamuksuzer, Founder of StartersHub ; Haggi Hochberger, Director for the Innovation Partnership Program, Amdocs; Paul Rodgers, Chairman at Vendorcom; David Parker, Founder & CEO, Polymath Consulting and Murat Saray, Founding Partner of Libertas Consultancy

The competition is held in partnership with STARTERS HUB, a leading business accelerator focused on financial innovation, and Raklet will be now considered for a place on the company’s accelerator programme.
