Bangalore, February 28, 2019: The Bangalore North Round Table 25 & Ladies Circle 14 in partnership with ITC Essentra has constructed 5 classrooms in 2 different Government schools. 3 classrooms in Thippapura Government higher primary school and 2 classrooms in Veerapura Government higher primary school in Doddaballapur. These classrooms were inaugurated by Shri T. Venkataramanaiah, MLA of Doddaballapur Area, Mr. Surajit Ghosh, CEO of ITC Essentra and Mrs. Koel Mukherjee, CFO ITC Essentra.
With the planned construction complete, all the partners will work together to provide several holistic and innovative educational programs, which will positively impact over 200 students studying in these schools.
The total cost of the project is close to 30 Lakhs. The project was completed in 5 months. The major portion of the funding for the project has been taken care of by ITC Essentra with Bangalore North Round Table 25 also providing support on the ground working closely with local authorities to get the project started.
Speaking at the inauguration, Jeetendra Valecha, Chairman of Bangalore North Round Table Trust said, “For Bangalore North Round Table Trust, this project in association with ITC Essentra is under the National Mandate of Round Table India: Freedom Through Education” (FTE). FTE is basically a spectrum of activity where Round Table India has created school infrastructure for the needy across the country under the premise that education is truly what creates social progress. Bangalore North Round Table Trust has actively pursued this mandate over the years and completed many school projects.”
Other guests present at the inauguration function include National President Round Table India Tr. Dhruv Dhalmia and National President Ladies circle India Cr. Namrata Shenoy along with Area 6 chairman Tr. Deeraj Bajaj , Area 6 AST Tr. Angad Km , Area 6 AVC Cr. Aarti Shroff, National President’s theme project convenor, Cr Raina Bhatia, Chairperson, LC 14, Cr. Nidhi Somani , Area Project convenors Tr. Gopal Gera and Tr. Raj Kiran.
