“Tar Aasa Zaala…” – the Marathi edition of Pramod Chaudhari’s autobiography launched in Pune

Pune, January 19, 2017: “Tar Aasa Zaala…”, the Marathi edition of “As Is What Is” book that captures the entrepreneurial journey of Mr. Pramod Chaudhari, Executive Chairman of Praj Industries, was launched at an event organized at the Baalshikshan Sanstha Auditorium on Friday. The editor of the Loksatta daily,Mr. Girish Kuberand the former IAS officer Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari, graced the occasion as distinguished chief guests at the event, which was themed around the subject of entrepreneurship.

“Tar Aasa Zaala…”, captures the exciting journey traversed by Mr Pramod Chaudhari and his entrepreneurial venture Praj Industries, India’s leading process solutions company in the field of renewable energy. One of the few globally-recognized first-generation entrepreneurs from Maharashtra, Mr Pramod Chaudhari has often demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit through practice, in times of utmost challenges he faced in starting and sustaining Praj, a dream he always believed in.

The book launch event was preceded by a stimulating and thought-provoking panel discussion on entrepreneurship, where eminent panelists who included Mrs. Alka Karkare, Joint MD of Enpro Industries, Mr. Mangesh Kale, MD, PARI Robotics Inc.,and Mr. Vishwas Mahajan, a Trustee of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Global,presented their views on how the entrepreneurship spirit of individuals leaves lasting impact on other individuals, societies, countries and the world. The panelists also discussed about the state of entrepreneurship in the city of Pune and the state of Maharashtra, and how the spirit of entrepreneurship of enterprising individuals can be encouraged by the state and successful entrepreneurs like Mr. Chaudhari and others.

At the occasion, Mr. Girish Kuber, one of the most renowned Marathi and English journalists said,“I am extremely happy to launch this book. In his address, Mr. Avinash Dharmadhikari, former IAS officer and the founder of the Chanakya Mandal Pariwar, said, “I am extremely delighted to launch this book. Mr. Chaudhari, a nationalist at heart, decided to stay back in India in the early ‘70s, when the trend for the IITians was to head west for the greener pastures. His career spans over 40 years of professional and entrepreneurial endeavors. Mr. Chaudhari founded Praj Industries in 1984 and his hard-work and undaunted dedication has elevated Praj as a truly global company with Indian spirit of entrepreneurship. Continuous learning and innovation have been his biggest motivators with a bias for action and a never-say-die spirit.

Mr. Chaudhari has mentored and encouraged a number of budding entrepreneurs to keep the spirit and flame of nation-building alive through running successful enterprises.
