TATA ClassEdge , a provider of innovative technology based learning solutions for schools, conducted the Principal Leadership Programme in Delhi today. Mr. Nirav Khambhati, CEO TATA Class Edge hosted the event, opening the stage for conversations around challenges in the educational landscape. The programme involved discussions on strengthening abilities to respond to the expectations of a wide variety of stakeholders, increasing managerial competencies of planning and prioritizing, building synergistic teams and adopting a leadership style to create a conducive and enabling work climate.
The Principal of a school is not only meant to be an educator, but he or she is also expected to play the role of a visionary, an efficient administrator, a role model for students, a mentor for teaching and non-teaching staff, a brand ambassador for parents and a pioneer in education management. In order to address this critical need, Tata ClassEdge, in partnership with S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, has developed a Principal Leadership Programme to be held across the country. The focus of the programme is to build leadership, and a culture of excellence in educational institutions.
On the occasion of the launch, Mr. Nirav Khambati said, “We are proud to be associated with Principals who build the foundation of every school. We believe that this leadership programme will encourage critical thinking, teamwork and a visionary attitude in our fellow principals. Our aim is to create a leader for the schools who can foster a positive climate for institutional development. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Keith Dsouza, Adjunct Faculty, S P Jain School of Global Management – Dubai, Singapore, Sydney and Dr. Jaiprakash Upadhyay, Professer (HRM & OB), S P Jain Institute of Management & Research.
