Titus Kariuki Wanderi Githu, male winner: Running this race is tougher than any other race since there is no definite finish line. The race was a true test of endurance given the searing temperatures – I pushed myself as far as I could. The thrill of trying to stay ahead of the catcher car is a whole different experience altogether. I am extremely happy to have won and I’m glad to have been a part of this cause.

Kiranjit Kaur, female winner: This is my second year at the run, I was the runner up last year and I have finally won this year. The race was very well organized which helped me run better despite the high temperature. I had a target of 50km and even though I’m elated and proud of winning I will be back next year to chase my target.
