New Delhi, October 14, 2015: With close to half the population in the world as women, and 196 countries in the world we are still talking about ‘being equal’ to the other half of the world’s population. There’s no country that has achieved gender equality today. Women Empowerment is continuing to be one of the global goals that is yet to be achieved for the simple fact that we all need to arise to accept that it needs to be addressed prior to attaining gender equality.
There are several challenges that women across various cultures and nationalities are facing across the globe right from right to education, health & safety, and poverty to name a few. The United Nations reckons Gender Equality is one of the major global goals (Sustainable Development Goals – SDG) we should work upon.

Founder & CEO, Black & White Tech Writing Solutions,Sneha Chandrashekar is the Residential Expert for this goal and is all set to begin this journey “Being responsible for the UN SDG 5 Gender Equality, we at World Merit would like to bring in a change on this front and wake up to achieving this goal. Our initiative Women Enlighten | Empower | Equalize (WE3) firmly believes and works on enlightening, empowering and equalizing women psychologically, emotionally, politically, financially and socially. We aim to eradicate ‘women empowerment’ to wake up to a world where each one of us is equal in everything we do. For this, we need to change our minds and ways of how we treat each other. The men need to rise above patriarchy, and the women need to change from within to feel no less than any male and release dependency.” About the road ahead, she aims to work with the team to initially create awareness and seek support from as many influencers, associations and entities.
