Cutting Edge Big Data Analytics Technologies Showcased At a Dedicated Workshop in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, May 24, 2017: Trescon concluded ‘Big Data Analytics & Digital Transformation Workshop’ on 16 May 2017 where international tech giants like IBM(GBM), Happiest Minds, Intuitu Analytics, Alpha Data, HP Enterprise, UMa Soft and 3T Xpert showcased their solutions in the age where data is growing exponentially in terms of volume, variety, velocity and complexity.

The 2-day workshop had highly stimulating and application-based sessions that combined technical and business knowledge to help attendees provide solutions to the challenges that Information Sciences and Big Data pose on corporations in the 21st century.

Designed to enable business growth, Trescon’s common goal in this workshop was to help businesses that are looking for innovative ways to use the data from the online channels & the physical data that they have. #BigDataSeries, aimed to shed light on innovative ways to use larger and broader data sets that are both structured and unstructured, in a meaningful way, solving complex business problems.

Another keynote session was followed by Mr Sunil Shirguppi, Senior Vice President – Big Data & Analytics, Happiest Minds on ‘Analytics driven Digital Transformation’.
Post these keynotes, there were 3 workshops by:

1. Mr Joel Waterman, Watson Financial Services Solutions Leader at IBM conducted a workshop on ‘Digital Reinvention for the Cognitive era’

2. Dr Mohamed Guidoum, Co-founder and CEO at Intuitu Analytics conducted a workshop on ‘A roadmap for deploying Big Data analytics to drive successful strategy execution’

3. Dr Satyam Priyadarshy, Chief Data Scientist, Halliburton conducted a workshop on ‘Big Data Analytics and Data Science Masterclass’ and ‘Roadmap to create value from Big Data & Data Science in multiple industry verticals’

Book launch

Day 2 started with the book launch written by Dr Hashem Hamed Al Mansoori, Former Founder & DG of e-Governance on’Abu Dhabi – Towards Smart Capital City’ which was followed by his keynote.

Mr Kumar Prasoon, Group CIO, Al Safeer Group delivered a keynote on ‘Modern Smart Industry Framework with Blockchain, BigData, Enterprise Mobility and Smart Sensors Mechanics augmented Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT).’

Followed by this, there were three workshops.
1. Mr Alaa Mahjoub, Data Management Senior Expert at ACE on ‘Building the Architecture of Transportation Digital Business’ and ‘Big Data & Integration of Big Data Analytics with Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS)’

2. Dr Sid Ahmed Benraouane who is a Professor in University of Minnesota, USA conducted a workshop on ‘Leading big data and change management strategy: Decision making, execution & people analytics.’

3. The 2-day event ended with a workshop by Mr Axel Angeli, SAP Guru on ‘Opportunities in the Digital Revolution and Strategies for Internet of Things, Ultra Large Clouds, Big Data, Smart Cities and Smart Industry 4.0.’
