Driving up revenue for Etihad Airways through data-fuelled display marketing
Bangalore,13 Mar,2015:  Vizury is thrilled to announce that its campaign to drive revenues through data-fuelled marketing for Etihad Airways has been shortlisted at the Performance Marketing Awards 2015 in the United Kingdom.

Vizury was nominated for the prestigious awards under the category ‘Global Excellence in Performance Marketing’ after it increased online bookings for Etihad Airways using big data analytics and predictive sciences. The campaign delivered 3x business ROI by targeting consumers through personalised ads across multiple platforms driving sales revenues through increased online bookings and brand awareness.

The problem:

Etihad approached Vizury to understand how to leverage data and target the right consumers across digital platforms at scale. The airline wanted to utilise the wide array of data already being collected to target consumers in disparate digital mediums by serving personalized ads to a variety of online audience. One of the key objectives was to improve sales by converting customers who have visited the site but did not ultimately book a ticket.

The solution:

Vizury utilized Etihad’s website user behavioral data (non PII) to segment users and identify high value audiences for targeted messaging. Vizury’s platform performed an in-depth analysis of this data to forecast consumers with high purchase propensity. The platform then engaged these consumers through personalized display ads. This data-centric approach resulted in increased revenues for Etihad airways.

“The campaign was built around the premise of delivering consistent ROI by tapping consumers across a variety of programmatic channels including Facebook Exchange. Vizury’s verticalized approach helps address the intricacies of each industry and unlock true business value for our clients. This campaign is yet another indication of how we can help brands strike the right balance between data and marketing and our core focus in making data count. Being shortlisted for the prestigious awards is in itself a big win for us,” said Amjad Puliyali, GM India, Middle East and Africa

The award:

Leading entries were identified by the judging panel, featuring experts from Arcadia, Google, Hotels.com, the IAB, GroupM and many more. Judges were tasked with pinpointing the outstanding contributors to performance marketing across an ever-expanding range of categories. Entries were assessed on their ability to meet strict criteria, including pre-set campaign objectives, execution, return on investment, innovation and overall success.
