Bengaluru, January 30, 2016: Apeejay Arts presents Beyond the Invisible, the first solo show by legendary Israeli artist Yaavoc Agam in association with Bruno Art Group. A pioneer of the Kinetic Movement, Agam will showcase a colourful cross-section of over 20 works spanning the early 1970s to 2014 from polymorphs, kinetic sculptures, agamographs and digital works.
Agam exhibition invites people not only to see his Oeuvre but also to stop thinking two-dimensional and start thinking four-dimensional, in other words: to start thinking big. Agam brought the idea of the Fourth Dimension into the art word, and even at the age of 87 he doesn’t stop to create and surprise. Agam’s relief paintings, with their shifting, merging geometric forms, demonstrate his concern with time, movement, and viewer involvement. The viewer becomes a participant in the transformation—in a sense, the creation—of Agam’s works by moving in front of them, by rotating the work, or by manipulating various elements of the works.
